Marine veteran gifted brand-new home

BANGOR — A military family received the gift of a lifetime this Veterans Day.

Marine Corps veteran Daniel Farrow and his wife were presented with the key to their brand-new home Friday.

Maine Woods Townhomes partnered with Maine Veterans Project to give away the home at their new subdivision in Bangor.

More than 60 veterans applied for the giveaway by writing a short essay, explaining why they think they’d be a good fit.

In Farrow’s essay, he detailed what this would mean for his family, saying, “Of all the blessings, mine would be the greatest of all; I would get to watch as my family’s dreams come true around me.”
